I’m Donovan Bartlett, Director of Maintenance at Eagle Tech Ops, and I’ve spent more than 25 years doing what I enjoy most—keeping aircraft safe, reliable, and ready to fly. I work hands-on with our maintenance team while overseeing day-to-day operations, compliance, and long-term planning, and I’m proud to lead a group of skilled A&P and IA-certified technicians. Over the years, I’ve worked on a wide variety of aircraft, including the De Havilland Twin Otter, Cessna Caravan, Short Brothers SC7 Skyvan, PAC 750XL, King Air series, Cessna 182, Cessna 206, and Cessna 401. My background includes 100-hour and annual inspections along with manufacturer maintenance programs like the Twin Otter EMMA Program and the Short Brothers SC7 Skyvan Maintenance Program. On the engine side, I have experience with PT6A engines (-27, -34, 114, and -114A), TPE331 engines, and inspections such as King Air and PAC 750XL Check 1 and 2. I also regularly handle structural repairs, modifications, and complex maintenance projects that require careful planning and attention to detail. One project I’m especially proud of is the restoration of a Short Brothers SC7 Skyvan, which brought together troubleshooting, teamwork, and a lot of hands-on problem solving. What I like most about this job is that no two days are the same. I enjoy digging into tough maintenance issues, learning something new, and working directly with customers to deliver exceptional service they can trust. The most rewarding part for me is supporting customers and training and leading a strong maintenance team, making sure the work is done right and everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.
